Brynja – “My Oh My”

Posted on October 12, 2022October 12, 2022 By James Kerr

Reykjavík, Iceland-based singer/songwriter, Brynja, releases the final single to her upcoming album, Repeat, with the song, “My Oh My.” Brynja is an R&B and pop singer who studied contemporary dance at Listaháskóli Íslands and audio engineering at SAE in Amsterdam before beginning her solo music career. Her latest single, “My Oh My,” is a soulful expression of the heart featuring delicate strings, smooth bass, crisp drums, and a sultry vocal performance from Brynja. This song is a beautiful introspection of finding oneself. Brynja, speaking on the track’s tone stated, “I wrote the song in a deep depression. My relationship ended, I was unemployed, homeless, and Covid-19 came. I wanted to get my life back on track and make big life decisions but it’s hard when everything is a mess. Then it’s hard to know where to start. I was so frustrated with myself, I just felt like my heart was speaking a language I didn’t understand.” Brynja’s new single, “My Oh My,” is a smooth lofi-pop jam and the perfect addition to any indie-pop playlist. Watch the official lyric video for “My Oh My” below.

“My Oh My” by Brynja was released to digital streaming platforms on September 23rd, 2022 and is now playing on Purple Cadillac: Soul Vibes.
