Tired Cossack – “Lilac Pain”

Posted on November 13, 2022November 13, 2022 By James Kerr

Winnipeg, Canada-based indie-rock artist, Tired Cossack, follows up his 2021 album, Hocus Pocus, with the new single, “Lilac Pain.” Tired Cossack is the solo-project of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Stephen Halas, who began releasing music as Tired Cossack in 2020. His latest single, “Lilac Pain,” is a dreamy rock song with shoegaze guitar and jaded vocals. Speaking on the song’s creation, Tired Cossack stated, “I wanted something less organized than what I’d made before. Yet also wanted it to be very thoughtful. I wanted it to grab the listener and take it along a winding path full of pretty things.” Tired Cossack’s latest single, “Lilac Pain,” is a wonderful shoegaze rock experience and the perfect addition to any dream-pop or indie-rock playlist.
