Ripon, United Kingdom-based indie artist, The Drunk Astronomer, gives us a lesson in anatomy on his debut single, “Every Body.” The Drunk Astronomer is the brainchild of singer/songwriter, Nathan Fox, who is preparing for the release of his debut EP, Octopi, in February of 2023. His latest single, “Every Body,” is an acoustic indie-pop jam with shoegaze guitars, alluring synths, and upbeat rhythms, and a warming vocal performance in which The Drunk Astronomer details functions of human body parts. Nathan spent time training as a physiotherapist, learning about anatomy, and says that one day he began jokingly singing about anatomy, until it grew into something more poignant and anthem. The Drunk Astronomer’s debut single, “Every Body,” is an exploratory dream-pop anthem and the perfect addition to any indie playlist.
