Park City, Utah-based rock group, Gary Dranow and Jerry Manfredi, deliver their second single of 2023 with the release of, “Mellow Drama.” Gary Dranow and his band, The Manic Emotions, had initially got together and planned to release music in 1997, but those plans were halted. Now band members, Jerry Manfredi, Jethro Defries, Tommy Mars, and Gary Dranow himself are back at it releasing new music. Their latest single, “Mellow Drama,” is an 80’s-style rock hit in which Gary sings in the 3rd person, reflecting on how his friends and family members thought about him before he had been diagnosed with Bipolar 1 with mania. Speaking on the personal nature of the track, Gary stated, “When I was in my late 40’s I had just been diagnosed as a Bi-polar 1 with Mania and for the first time I had reference for why I acted out as I did from early childhood until I started to be managed Pharmacologically,” he says. “I blew up three marriages and many relationships due to my over the top personality.” Gary Dranow and Jerry Manfredi’s latest single, “Mellow Drama,” is an introspective rock hit and the perfect addition to any classic rock playlist.
