DAMIEN – “Melbourne Afternoon”

Posted on May 10, 2022May 10, 2022 By James Kerr

Australia-based artist, DAMIEN, Prepares his mind for the dark days of the “Melbourne Afternoon” on his latest single release. This is a dark, alt-rock track with a heavy industrial feel similar to Nine Inch Nails or Marilyn Manson. DAMIEN, who is a queer, non-binary artist, reflected on the inspiration for “Melbourne Afternoon” stating, “The track is reflective of my own struggles with depression, suicide and existential dread, which often become more intensified during the winter months. This song expresses my wrestles with my own sense of impermanence and fears about the chaotic nature of present existence, but with a push to myself to keep holding on.” “Melbourne Afternoon is the fourth single from DAMIEN’s upcoming sophomore album, Wrong Age, Wrong Race, Wrong Gender.

“Melbourne Afternoon” by DAMIEN was released to digital streaming platforms on March 25th, 2022 and is now playing on Ready Player One?: Gamer Beats.
