Hassan Bin Rashid – “Refugee”

Posted on September 14, 2023September 14, 2023 By James Kerr

Manama, Bahrain-based musician Hassan Bin Rashid delivers his debut single, “Refugee.” Hassan Bin Rashid is a singer/songwriter who is nearing the release of his debut album, 21 Grams. The first single from the album is the thought-provoking track, “Refugee.” The song is fueled by western rock guitars, cinematic strings, and vivid drums. The song tells the story of a person who has left their home in search of safety. “Refugee” features performances from two Syrian musicians who Hassan says, “added a happy bassline, which works so, so well.” He continued, “They explained that refugees want to deal with life, not sound melancholic.” Hassan Bin Rashid’s new release, “Refugee,” is an empowering alt-county hit and the perfect addition to any folk playlist. “Refugee” by Hassan Bin Rashid was released to digital streaming platforms on August 11th, 2023 and is now playing on Senocular Top Picks.
