The Margaret Hooligans – “Revenge of the ScarJo”

Posted on November 6, 2023November 6, 2023 By James Kerr

Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania-based alternative rock band The Margaret Hooligans delivers their eighth single of 2023, with the release of, “Revenge of the ScarJo.” The Margaret Hooligans is a band who have been releasing charged rock records since the release of their debut single, “Going to a Yo-Yo-Ma,” in 2021. Their latest release is a grungy rock romp that introduces the listener to an alternate universe where men are treat the same way that our current society treats women. The track is characterized by crunchy ukulele, rugged bass, and blasting drums. The distorted instrumentation serves as the perfect platform for vocalist Meg Cratty to display a powerful and angsty performance that breaks down patriarchal culture. The track is the second single from the band’s upcoming album ThunderHole Rock n’ Roll. The Margaret Hooligans’ new single, “Revenge of the ScarJo,” is an explosive rock jam and the perfect addition to any alternative playlist. “Revenge of the ScarJo” by The Margaret Hooligans was released to digital streaming platforms on October 24th, 2023 and is now playing on Punk’s Not Dead.
