San Jose, California-based alternative rock artist Sam Feinstein presents his third single “Maslow’s Mountain.” Sam Feinstein is a synth-rock artist who broke out in 2023 with his single “Hamster Wheel.” His latest release “Maslow’s Mountain” is a groovy synth rock jam that blends elements of new wave and alternative rock to take the listener on a contemplative journey. The song’s instrumentation is highlighted by twangy guitar riffs, funky bass licks, and high-paced drums that combine to create an exhilarating soundscape. Sam delivers a gruff vocal performance that asks how humanity can ever strive when we have to work so hard to survive. The lyric’s of the song are based off of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, which lays out the grueling path towards self-actualization.
