Blindness & Light – “Mersey Bell”

Posted on December 11, 2024December 11, 2024 By James Kerr

Anglesey, England-based indie rock band Blindness & Light has unleashed their new single “Mersey Bell.” Blindness & Light is a four-piece band consisting of members Colin M Potter (vocals/guitar), Helen Reynolds (backing vocals), Paul McConnell (bass), and Glenn Welman (drums). Their latest release “Mersey Ball” is an energizing tune that blends elements of indie rock, post-punk, and dream pop. Hazy guitar riffs, driving bass, and stiff drums immerse the listener in a reflective soundscape. Moody vocals glide along the instrumentation telling the story of a ringing a shipping bell at nighttime to honor a friend who had recently passed. The track is the third single from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, I Dreamt I Had Insomnia. Blindness & Light’s new single “Mersey Bell” is a captivating jam and the perfect addition to any indie playlist. “Mersey Bell” by Blindness & Light was released to digital streaming platforms on December 6th, 2024, and is now playing on Indie Rock Hits.
