Mystic, Connecticut-based indie band Delta of Venus presents the music video to their recent dual-single, “Disengaged/Slipping.” This newly reformed group is led by musician Ellery Twining, who gained attention with his 2023 EP, RESULTS. Their debut single, “Disengaged/Slipping,” is a shoegaze double A-side that blends elements of art pop, indie rock, and post-punk. Hazy guitar riffs, fuzzy bass lines, and steady drums create a dreamlike soundscape for the listener. The band’s vocalist, Issy, delivers an enchanting performance that flows beautifully with the rich instrumentation. The track is accompanied by a captivating music video the follows a reimagining of Joan of Arc.
