New York-based jazz bassist, Marshal Herridge, links up with Caity Gyorgy for their new single, “A Day Too Late.” Marshal Herridge is a Vancouver-born jazz musician, now residing in New York, has played with several prominent North American jazz musicians and holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Humber College and a Master of Music Degree from McGill University in jazz performance. Caity Gyorgy is a Montreal based vocalist, composer, and lyricist who is known for singing bebop and swing music. Together they created, “A Day Too Late,” which is the first installment of a series of singer/songwriter singles which will be released by Marshal. “A Day Too Late” is a wonderful musical composition centered around Latin-jazz styled rhythms. The instrumentation includes smooth keys, acoustic guitar, Latin percussion, and fluttering woodwinds. Caity Gyorgy provides sultry vocal textures, giving the track a true classic feel. “A Day Too Late” is the perfect addition to any jazz or Latin playlist.
