The Magic Es – “Gone”

Posted on September 30, 2022September 30, 2022 By James Kerr

Norwich, United Kingdom-based indie rock band, The Magic Es, follows up their 2021 EP, Live At Lightning, with their new single, “Gone.” The Magic Es have had several critically acclaimed releases since 2015 and are currently preparing the release of the 4 track EP, Talk In Tongues. “Gone” is the first single from Talk In Tongues which is scheduled for release in December of 2022. The song is a nostaglic indie rock ode to friends and family who are no longer with us. Speaking on the inspiration behind the song lead, vocalist and guitarist, Pete Thompson says: “I wrote this song during lockdown following the passing of a couple of people who I was very close to once upon a time. The song is ultimately about wishing you were there to support people during their most troubling times and knowing, once they’ve gone, there was so much more you could have done if you weren’t wrapped up in your own life.” The Magic Es’ latest single, “Gone,” is a wonderfully reflective experience and the perfect addition to any indie rock playlist. Watch the lyric video below.

“Gone” by The Magic Es was released to digital streaming platforms on September 9th, 2022 and is now playing on Senocular Top Picks.
