San Francisco, California-based indie-pop band, gloomy june, delivers a cover of Metric’s, “Black Sheep.” gloomy june, composed of members, Alexi Rose Belchere (vocals), Devin Nelson (guitar), Jack Sundquist (bass), and Ash Hyatt (drums), is fresh of of their Summer tour and are in the process of recording a full length follow-up to their, Popsick EP. Their latest single is a cover of the song, “Black Sheep” by synth-heavy punk band, Metric. This angsty synth rock song was featured in the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and gloomy june does a fantastic job of making the song their own while staying true to the tone. “Black Sheep” by gloomy june is a wonderfully nostalgic indie rock jam and the perfect addition to any indie rock or synth pop playlist.
