Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom-based alt-rock band, Crux, follow up their 2021 EP, Death at the Cash Machine, with their new single, “Radgie Gadgie (Radio Edit).” Crux is a punk rock group who released their debut single, “Bigg Market,” in 2019. Their new single, “Radgie Gadgie,” is a high-paced punk rock jam with ska vibes that aims to take on toxic masculinity. “Radgie Gadgie,” being Geordie slang for aggressive men, tells the story of a traumatic upbringing which has been suppressed into anger and rage. Those emotions are expressed with stiffs guitars and rockabilly-style vocals which twist and turn through aggressive transitions, taking the listener though an enraged journey. Crux’s new single, “Radgie Gadgie,” is a furious punk rock anthem and the perfect addition to any indie rock playlist.
