Richmond, Virginia-based hip hop artist, Vantreux, details the life of an “Outcast” on his latest single release. This song starts out with a heavenly choir chant which draw the listeners attention right off the bat. A few bars in, Vantreux begins flowing along with the choir, and shortly after drops the booming bass and 808s. Producer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist, Vanteux, speaks about a topic which is familiar to many of us, being born in a situation that you cannot control, and working to make your best out of it. Some of the many subjects touched upon in “Outcast” are underage drug abuse, systemic racism, and poverty.
