Posted on August 11, 2023August 11, 2023 By James Kerr

Kalamazoo, Michigan-based indie-folk band, Roots Asylum, delivers their third single of 2023, with the release of “Girl in a Tower.” Roots Asylum is an alternative-folk band who released their debut single, “Aye Aye, Captain Bligh,” in 2019. Their latest single, “Girl in a Tower,” is an upbeat soft rock jam which uses traditional folk elements to bring the listener into a fairy tale land of wonder and adventure. The track is fueled by twangy guitars, groovy bass, and light drums. The anthemic lyrics fill the imagination with thoughts of knights, dragons, and princesses. Roots Asylum’s new single, “Girl in a Tower,” is a wonderous folk hit and the perfect addition to any easy-listening playlist.
