Van Nuys, California-based rock band, MAL, delivers their third album, Come To Light. MAL is an alternative rock band consisting of members, Peter Hollywood (bass), Kristopher Jung (vocals/guitar), and Brendan Reynolds (drums), who released their debut album, MAL, in 2012. Their latest release, Come To Light, is a psychedelic hard rock journey fueled by raspy vocals, wailing guitars, rugged bass, and powerful drums. With this project, MAL rejects the current industry trends by giving the listeners over an hour of grungy post-rock. Speaking on the album’s format, the band stated, “Every member of the band really enjoys listening to music on long drives to gigs. Our favorite albums are those you can listen to all the way through and be taken somewhere. This new album is our chance to join that club in our minds.” The band used the influences of their favorite albums to create a masterwork and musical experience which is fit for any alternative playlist.
