9 o’clock Nasty – Culture War 23

Posted on October 7, 2023October 7, 2023 By James Kerr

Leicester, United Kingdom-based art-rock band 9 o’clock Nasty presents their new album, Culture War 23. 9 o’clock Nasty is an indie band that has taken listeners on a psychedelic ride with their various single releases over the course of the past year. Their new album Culture War 23 is the culmination of their evolving sound throughout their last 10 singles, with the inclusion of three new jams. The album kicks off with the single, “Too Cool,” which is an anthemic rock tune with punk rock attitude.

The song “The Gastronaut” is a highlight of the album and a cinematic art rock song about taking the love of food to another level, akin to making love.

“Make Your Ghost” is one of the new release on the album which blends power-pop with glitch synth production.

Our favorite pick from the album is the rugged glam rock jam centered around money hungry investors, “Disco Investors”

Closing the album is the deliver a power-pop ballad about the pain of love featuring lead singer of The Margaret Hooligans, Meg Cratty, “Bird of Happiness.”

You can support 9 o’clock Nasty directly by purchasing the album on CD or vinyl on Bandcamp!

9 o’clock Nasty’s new album Culture War 23 is an eclectic in indie masterwork and the perfect addition to any art rock playlist. Learn more about 9 o’clock Nasty on their official website and listen to Culture War 23 on Indie Rock Hits.
