Outerloop – “huracán”

Posted on November 19, 2023November 19, 2023 By James Kerr

Washington, D.C.-based alternative rock band Outerloop returns with the new single, “huracán.” Outerloop is a post-punk band who released their highly acclaimed debut self-titled album, Outerloop, in 2022. Following up the album is the new single, “huracán,” is a powerful rock jam that focuses on the colonization and gentrification of the island of Puerto Rico and the displacement caused by 30-day notices to vacate placed by nefarious developers. Fueled by angsty vocals, piercing guitars, driven bass, and splashy drums, “huracán,” delivers a brooding energy that captivates the listeners. Vocalist, Taisha Estrada paints a vivid picture depicting the oppression forced on the people of Puerto Rico by apathetic Capitalists. Ouiterloop’s new single, “huracán,” is a Latin rock gem and the perfect addition to any punk playlist. Learn more about Outerloop on Linktr.ee and listen to “huracán” below.

“huracán” by Outerloop was released to digital streaming platforms on November 11th, 2023 and is now playing on Punk’s Not Dead.
