Spirit Gun – The Status Quo Must Go!

Posted on October 11, 2024October 11, 2024 By James Kerr

Norfolk, Virginia-based alternative rock band Spirit Gun unleashes their new album, The Status Quo Must Go!. Spirit Gun is a rock band consisting of members, Pete Overstreet (vocals/guitar), Oren Lev (drums/vocals), and Tony Burgess (bass/vocals), who recently made waves with their 2022 EP, The Antonym. Their latest release, The Status Quo Must Go!, is an electrifying album that blends elements of alternative rock, punk, and garage rock. Crunchy guitar riffs, propelling bass, and splashy drums fill the album with explosive energy. Moody vocals lend an angsty presence to the rugged instrumentation, infusing the songs with a punk rock attitude. The album is an ode to protesting and challenging the status quo and the band invites listeners to join in by asking fans to send photos of themselves sharing their message through protest signs. Spirit Gun’s new album, The Status Quo Must Go!, is a rebellious treat and the perfect addition to any alternative playlist. Learn more about Spirit Gun on their official website and listen to The Status Quo Must Go! below.

The Status Quo Must Go! by Spirit Gun was released to digital streaming platforms on September 15th, 2024, and is now playing on Indie Rock Hits.
