Ken Woods and the Old Blue Gang – “Ride the Rails”

Posted on May 4, 2025May 4, 2025 By James Kerr

Penarth, Wales-based folk rock band Ken Woods and the Old Blue Gang presents their new single, “Ride the Rails.” Ken Woods and the Old Blue Gang are an Americana band that burst onto the scene in 2023 with their debut single, “Sundown Town.” Their latest release, “Ride the Rails,” is an energizing tune that blends elements of alt-country, blues rock, and folk. Twangy guitar riffs, propelling bass, and rolling drums immerse the listener in a spaghetti-Western-inspired soundscape. Gruff vocal rumble along the smoky instrumentation with a rugged tone. The combination results in a cinematic experience that evokes vivid imagery of American railroads. Ken Woods and the Old Blue Gang’s single, “Ride the Rails,” is a sensational Americana journey and the perfect addition to any folk-rock playlist.
