Reckless – “Sad Girls Rock”

Posted on September 15, 2022September 15, 2022 By James Kerr

London, United Kingdom-based artist, Reckless, delivers her second single of 2022 with the song, “Sad Girls Rock.” Reckless is a multi-talented artist with uncanny lyrical ability and production skills, who dabbles in a variety of musical genres. Her new single, “Sad Girls Rock” is a hip-hop/rap track which uses a lofi production style, utilizing dusty synths, low bass, and glitchy drums to set the soundscape for Reckless to spit her bouncy rhymes. Lyrically, “Sad Girls Rock,” is an introspective journey through sadness and despair. Speaking on the tracks tone, Reckless stated, “‘Sad Girls Rock’ is an anthem for all of those who have ever felt isolated and as if they had to suffer in silence with their pain. It contains powerful and honest lyrics covering experiences with depression and suicidal thoughts.” Reckless’ latest single, “Sad Girls Rock” is the perfect addition to any emo rap or hip-hop playlist.
