Akron, Ohio-based punk band, Detention, follows up their 2021 project, The Patchwork EP, with their latest single, “Faded Not Jaded.” Detention is a teen pop-punk band composed of members, Elliott Carter (vocals), Fritz Dannemiller (bass), Luke Konopka (drums), and Evan Cox (guitar). Their new single, “Faded Not Jaded,” is a high-energy pop-punk anthem with huge guitars, driven bass, and fast-based drums. Speaking on the song’s concept, guitarist and lyricist, Evan said, “’Faded, Not Jaded’ is about everyone having a different version of you in their head. That version might change, but you’ll never be able to control or understand it. It makes you question lots of things.” Detention’s new single, “Faded Not Jaded,” is an incredible angsty emo-punk jam and the perfect addition to any punk or indie rock playlist.
“Faded Not Jaded” was released to digital streaming platforms on October 3rd, 2022 and is now playing on Punk’s Not Dead.
