Chapell – “Ride”

Posted on October 10, 2022October 10, 2022 By James Kerr

New York-based singer/songwriter, Chapell, asks us to “Ride” with him on the single from his album, Penultimate. Chapell is the genre-fluid solo project of Alan Chapell, who is known for his incredible live performances, and has seen a successful string of releases since his debut album, The Redhead’s Alligations, was released in 2017. His song, “Ride” was released in 2019 on the album, Penultimate, and is an anthemic blast of folky, acoustic guitars, and deep, warm vocals. Lyrically, the song is about disconnecting from the world and enjoying the journey. Speaking on the track’s premise, Chapell stated, “Exhausted by life, by social media, and by the realization that privacy is in fact dead. But there’s a way out. Come with me. I’ll take you where you want to be.” Chapell’s single, “Ride” is a wondrously nostalgic indie rock jam and the perfect addition to any soft rock playlist. Learn more about Chapell on his official website and listen to “Ride” below.

“Ride” was released to digital streaming platforms on November 11th, 2020 and is now playing on Senocular Top Picks.
