Palms Psalm – “Tide”

Posted on January 28, 2023January 28, 2023 By James Kerr

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based indie rock band, Palms Psalm, closed out 2022 with the single, “Tide.” Palms Psalm is the brain child of musician, Eric Pasi, who is a first generation Tongan-American, and uses Polynesian influences in his music. His single, “Tide,” is a steady-flowing surf rock song with mellow vibes which sets out to bring awareness to the affect of climate devastation in Polynesian nations. The track encompasses dusty guitars, light percussion, and tropical soundscapes, bringing oceanside campfire jams to the listeners’ ears. Palms Psalm samples old canoe chants and music handed down from his father, Siaosi Pasi, who was an immigrant from Tonga. Palms Psalm’s single, “Tide,” follows an important path of conserving music tradition and is the perfect addition to any indie playlist. Learn more about Palm Psalm on their official website and listen to “Tide” below.

“Tide” by Palms Psalm was released to digital streaming platforms on December 9th, 2022 and is now playing on Indie Rock Hits.
