Faroe Islands and Denmark-based band, MonkeyRat, brings in Anna Sofía Skoradal for their latest single, “The Child.” This mix of dream pop and neo soul was produced by band member Arnold Ludvig who arranged the track in Ableton after finding the lyrics, originally written as a poem, by MonkeyRat frontwoman Anna Iachino. “The Child,” sung by Anna Sofía Skoradal is a tribute to Anna Iachino’s late-mother, who struggled with dementia. The production on this track remains somber while still providing soul and unique soundscapes.
