Welsh Avenue – “Feather In My Hat”

Posted on September 2, 2022September 2, 2022 By James Kerr

Austin, Texas-based alternative pop project, Welsh Avenue, puts another feather in his hat with his latest single. Welsh Avenue is the solo project of singer, songwriter, and classically trained piano player, Mark DiLillo, who began learning Ableton in his senior year of college. The name of his project is a nod to the street he lived on when he began writing music, Welsh Avenue. His latest single, “Feather in My Hat,” is an uplifting indie pop song which combines elements of 80’s synth rock and modern indie rock. The combination of the emotional piano lead, retro synths, and washed-out guitar give the song a nostalgic vibe with a fresh feel. Speaking on the concept of the song, Mark stated, “This track is about how the world is construed in front of us as infinite potential. Mostly in the form of knowledge, and how we get through life is by seeing it, judging it, and breathing purpose into it.” You can learn more about Welsh Avenue on the official website.

“Feather in My Hat” was released to digital streaming platforms on August 12th, 2022 and is now playing on Senocular Top Picks.
