Johnson City, Tennessee-based indie folk band Mahto and the Loose Balloons present their new EP, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. Mahto and the Loose Balloons is a four-piece band consisting of members Mahto Addison-Browder, Will Diebold, Niko Graham, and Travis F. Welch. Their latest release, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, is a fantastic 4-track project that blends elements of indie folk, Americana, and alt-folk. Dusty acoustic guitar melodies create a minimalistic soundscape that pulls the listener into a ruminating mood. Harmonious vocals glide along the instrumentation with a soothing tone. The EP showcases Mahto’s ability to create simplistic songs with large impacts. Mahto and the Loose Ballons’ new EP, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, is a wonderful folk experience and the perfect addition to any Americana playlist.
