London, United Kingdom-based folk artist, Fran Lusty, takes us on a woeful journey with her single, “Flight of Your Mind.” Fran Lusty is an indie folk singer/songwriter with a PhD in English Literature who began releasing music in 2021. Since then, she has amassed an impressive string of releases with her most recent being, “Flight of Your Mind.” This song is an acoustic ballad of a telling the story of a man finding and reflecting on his wife’s journal, feeling helpless to the power of her mind. Orchestrated with harmonious strings and guitars, Fran tells the story through her lush vocals. In speaking on the theme of the song, Fran stated, “I got a little obsessed with Virginia Woolf’s diaries and how they recorded her mind taking flight, exploring dark and unknown spaces in her psych.
