Karen Harding – “Drive Away”

Posted on September 10, 2022September 10, 2022 By James Kerr

Melbourne, Australia-based singer/songwriter, Karen Harding, delivers the second song from her upcoming EP, I’ve Got A Secret, with the single, “Drive Away.” Karen Harding is an acoustic folk artist who released her debut single, ” I Didn’t Realise” in 2021 and has delivered an impressive stream of releases since. Her new single, “Drive Away,” was written during the Covid-19 lockdowns in Melbourne, Australia, and is an emotional, yet optimistic song inspiring hopes of better days. The song uses slow acoustic guitar and dramatic backing strings to set the soundscape for Karen’s ghostly vocals longing for brighter times. Speaking on the tone of the track, Karen stated, “It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness and routines of life and sometimes we all experience days where it just seems so much easier to run away or escape the life we’ve created for ourselves. ‘Drive Away’ was written when I was experiencing this feeling.” The 4 song EP, I’ve Got a Secret, will be released one each month. Karen Harding’s “Drive Away” is the perfect addition to any indie folk playlist. Learn more about Karen Harding on her official website.

“Drive Away” by Karen Harding was released to digital streaming platforms on September 9th, 2022 and is now playing on Senocular Top Picks.
